Some days

P39

Days like today all you want is mommy. Mommy mommy mommy MOMMY. The way it works is that if MOMMY is not around then either you sit in her spot by yourself or I get some snuzzles. When you are healthy I once in a blue moon have a fighting chance to steal you from her. Sick days I have zero chance. Sick days are spent on the sofa are watching Phineous and Ferb and mommy and daddy wondering if you are watching too much Phineous and Ferb. This past week I would say maybe a little too much tv, however ear infections do that to kids.

On a side note. Sorry if I am cranky lately. Mommy and daddy gave up wine for lent. Then in addition to wine we gave up soda. What are we thinking, this can't end well.

One day...

One day when I am old (er). I will have to say that I don't know. I just don't know. I am sure I am a smooth enough talker to play it off and say something to the effect of ' lets look it up '. Or lets figure it out together - the real answer will be that I just don't know. Let me tell you at the age of 4 ish you have almost stumped me a few times. The hardest one to date is to explain the ideas of today, tomorrow and yesterday. You caught me alone in the car on that one, I sure wish M was with me for that. The day is coming when you will realize that, yes in fact daddy does not know it all. Even worse I will eventually run out of things/ideas/concepts to teach you. Good thing I will make this easier for Mommy as I am sure you will realize that daddy will say ' I don't know ' long before mommy does!

Why we are here...

I have been thinking for a few days about a first post. Here goes:

The two really cool things about this blog will hopefully be the ability for the B to read it at some point (she needs to learn to read first) and gain some perspective about who her patents were/are/used to be. Second, I am excited to be taking on this project with my wife (M). It might be a bit rough in the beginning, yet stick with us hopefully it will be a long journey.

I will start with a little quote from the B that started my day off just right.

D - hey B.
B - what daddy?
D - daddy has to work late tonight so you are stuck with Mommy tonight, ok?
B - GOOD, I love Mommy nights! Have fun at work, bring me a lollipop and a balloon.
